While every effort is made to present the sarees in their natural colours, subtle variations between images and actual colours may be the result of lighting conditions and digital photography, and the colour/screen settings of your digital devices.
Slight irregularities are inherent to the process of creating traditional handwoven fabric. Instead of taking away from the beauty of the saree, they enhance its uniqueness and charm. The irregularities attest to the fact that the saree is a genuine, handcrafted product.

Handwoven Tussar silk is a versatile fabric characterized by a rich, coarse texture which makes it an ideal choice for sarees. In its natural, undyed form, Tussar has a dull golden sheen. Another characteristic which makes Tussar a popular fabric is that it is porous and breathable, giving it an airy and comfortable feel. This makes it suitable for wearing even in summer. The tribal areas of Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, Bhagalpur (Bihar), and small areas in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh are home to renowned weaving clusters of Tussar silk. Skilled artisans weave their magic to enrich handwoven Tussar silk with an array of organic colours, elaborate handcrafted designs, zari borders, Nature-inspired or geometric motifs and tribal art. Leftover silk from woven fabrics is often used to create designs on the main fabric. Tussar is produced from silkworms which feed on wild forest trees, not mulberry trees. Not surprisingly, Tussar is also known as Vanya or wild silk.
